MISSION TRIP:  The church is sponsoring a mission team to Teamwork City of Hope in Ntgactha, Tanzania, from April 8 to April 29, 2017.  City of Hope is a Christian based orphanage, children's school, and medical center serving the rural areas of northwest Tanzania near Lake Victoria and the border with Kenya.  There are plenty of ways to help make a difference in these children's lives, from general carpentry work, working the farm (the farm provides around 75 percent of the food for The City of Hope), working in the medical center, and maintenance work.  They are opening a new secondary school in February that still needs work.  But the best gift anyone can do for these orphans is to show up in person and love on them.  We know it isn't easy for most people to take three weeks off in a row, but if you can and are interested, talk to Greg (757-377-1866) or Kathy Moyer, or Curtis or Ann Tasker.  Other support is welcome for fundraisers and donations.  To see more of what Teamwork City of Hope is all about visit

New Pew Seat Upholstery, Seat Back Cushions, and new Communion kneeling cushions:   Work will begin the week of March 20th.  Thank you for your generous donations.

Wesleyan Covenant Association: We have been asked to provide information about the newly formed Wesleyan Covenant Association.  Information about this association is available on the table in the Welcome Center.

For more information contact Ginny Owens 757-621-8135 or Andy Barnard 757-235-1989.

Please begin saving all brown paper grocery bags to be used for Easter egg making.  Thank you!

Memory Verse:

Prayer                                                             Matthew 6:6   (NIV)

6 “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.  Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Praise Songs:                     SEEK YE FIRST

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.  And, all these things shall be added unto you, Allelu, Alleluia!  Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall find.  Knock and the door shall be opened unto you, Allelu, Alleluia!

(verse 1)  As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after you.  You alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship you.

(refrain)  You alone are my strength, my shield.  To you alone may my spirit yield.  You alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship you.

(verse 2)  You’re my friend and you are my brother, even though you are a King.  I love you more than any other, so much more than anything.  (refrain)

(verse 3)  I want you more than gold or silver, only you can satisfy.  You alone are the real joy giver and the apple of my eye. (refrain)
